One 4.34 carats oval blue zircon from Malawi, greenish blue color, VS2 clarity, cut grade excellent, measuring 7.9 mm wide, 10 mm long, 6.2 mm deep; with very good polish and excellent symmetry. The proportions of the blue zircon are as follows: total depth 78.5%, table width 62%. When compared to Cambodian blue zircon these from Malawi zircons have the same fine color in gems that are cut shallower due to the nature of the rough making them much easier to set in standard mountings.  Blue zircon is color enhanced by heating.
